Our company began with something simple: a need.

Not a business idea, not a marketing plan. Just the desire to feed our own dogs the whole nutritious food they craved and were designed for.

The purpose was to make our dogs’ lives the best they could be, with the least amount of effort.

We were unhappy feeding processed dog food containing refined carbohydrates, ingredients we could not recognize or that the pet food companies were not required to disclose. Yet this was the same food we were told was good for our dogs.

Commonsense dawned: if unprocessed whole foods are healthier for humans, why not for dogs?

We started feeding raw muscle meat, organs, bones, and supplementing with our leftover cooked vegetables and healthy kitchen scrapes. The concept was simple, the ingredients whole and unprocessed, and the results in our dogs undeniable.

Coats became softer and shinier, digestion and oral health improve, and energy levels increased. Our dogs were also excited and mentally stimulated by their meals because of the variety and their primal nutritional needs were being met.

We will not go back to feeding processed dog food, but we learned feeding raw can be time-consuming, messy, and expensive. Without a reliable source of prepared raw food containing the key nutritional components, it became difficult to maintain.
